I chose the video clip from the famous movie, School of Rock.
It is directed by Richard Linklater, and Jack Black acted.
I just introduce the outline because I would like you all to watch it if you have an interest.
The protagonist (Jack Black) is crazy about rock music, but his performance is too passionate to maintain the harmony in his band. He has got fired, so he pretended to be a teacher in order to get the job. Then, he becomes a teacher of a honor elementary school. Through communication with his children, he decides to make the students play rock in the band. At first, students started to play because of the grades, but they gradually noticed the joy of rock music.

Through the clip, I can find out many the elements of Relational Leadership theory. First one is empowerment. Jack Black chose some students and made them to play musical instruments. In the process, he inspired and teach the students how to play rock music. These behaviors are typical behaviors of empowering others. Next, it is obviously inclusive. he not only chose the band members but also he gave roles to each. After that, he gave the special jobs for other students like a manager, an sound mixer and others. It is the very inclusive. They feel to be in group, which is rock band, even though they are not players in the rock band.
I would like to point out that these behaviors are done in purposeful ways. I mean, he provides the clear purpose, which is to play in a rock band. This is absolutely the Relational Leadership.
I love this movie because it is not just fun but I can tell students are gradually encouraged. I hope who saw the blog enjoy it.
